Portrait of Thang Tee, a Mün woman from Chin State, Myanmar. The Mün are a large tribe of Chin people and are easily found all around the Mindat and Kanpetlet area. Thang Tee’s story is one of pride for being a part of the last generation with her tattoo but also fear and sadness about how she obtained it.
This print comes signed and packaged with a certificate of authenticity detailing the stories I was told by her during my visit.
